Cooking Improv is a food literacy experience and cooking demo with rescued product that results in usable, chopped veggies for the chefs in our production kitchen. The class encourages people to look at what food that they have on hand and to create a healthy meal. By building knowledge of cooking methods and using all parts of a product, students can learn to utilize a limited selection of food without sacrificing nutrition or flavor!
The warm communal aspect of the class encourages participants to enjoy the act of cooking, encouraging a journey that ends with forming new and creative habits in the kitchen. Our mission with Cooking Improv is to educate budding cooks on what it takes to make cooking sustainable, realistic and fun.
